About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to join our Application team in Pentera. As an Application Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our SaaS and on-premise platforms. Your mastery of backend development will be the driving force behind our cutting-edge solutions. Collaborating with diverse teams, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our products and delivering unparalleled experiences. Together, we'll create robust and innovative solutions that push the boundaries of cybersecurity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend components and application infrastructures for our SaaS and on-premise platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and QA teams to deliver new features and improvements.
• Implement scalable, secure backend solutions following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews, and ensure high-quality code through testing and documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide technical support as needed.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions.
• Own the end-to-end process from design to deployment, taking pride in seeing your code in production.

• 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in an agile environment.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring).
• Experience with MongoDB or similar databases.
• Proven track record in designing and building microservices architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive troubleshooting approach.
• Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest technologies.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and common vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Docker.
• Familiarity with Penetration Testing frameworks and Apache Flink.
